Description We are offering a unique opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper in the construction industry. The position is located in DEER PARK, New York, and offers a diverse role in a dynamic working environment. This position will allow the successful candidate to support various aspects of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and account reconciliations while working alongside a knowledgeable team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management of accounts payable and receivable

• Conduct bank and account reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy

• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and Sage 100 for bookkeeping tasks

• Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner

• Take responsibility for credit card reconciliations

• Participate in Human Resources (HR) Administration tasks as needed

• Utilize knowledge of construction accounting in daily tasks

• Support the Controller in various responsibilities and tasks

• Take on new responsibilities and challenges for professional growth

• Maintain a supportive team environment and work collaboratively with colleagues. Requirements • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in the construction/contractor industry

• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Experience in performing reconciliations, payroll, and credit card reconciliation

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Sage 100, and Paychex Payroll

• Understanding of human resources (HR) administration

• Knowledge of construction accounting and general construction processes

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

• Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure

• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
