POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Quality & Continuous Improvement Leader role is a key role in the Chambers Works organization. This role is responsible for oversight of the quality and continuous improvement efforts for the Chambers Works Kalrez® plant. Specific responsibilities include leading the quality management, training, document control, quality investigations and continuous improvement programs. This role will be a key resource for OpEx efforts at the plant site. The person in this role will also manage complaints using SalesForce for Chambers Works and Tralee Park. In addition, this employee will be responsible for coordinating maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. oversee, maintain and continuously improve the operation and quality systems of the Chambers Works Kalrez organization. This person will also assist the technical group as required.

This is an exempt position that works Monday – Friday during normal business hours. Occasional off-hours support may be required. Less than 10% travel is expected.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Management System Leader

· Certified as ISO 9001:2015 Standard Lead Auditor (can be achieved in role)

· Investigate external quality complaints in SalesForce and lead Root Cause & Failure Analysis

· Lead internal quality audits, and represent Kalrez-Chambers Works during 2nd and 3rd party quality audits

· Report on quality metrics - quality investigations (internal & external), quality corrective actions and internal audit status

· Represent Kalrez-Chambers Works in monthly Global Kalrez® Quality Calls

· Lead internal quality council meetings

· Lead ISO 9001 Management Review

· Lead ISO 9001 Annual External Audits

Continuous Improvement

· Launch improvement projects across multiple functions/areas and drafts charters for improvement projects with clearly defined benefits, scope, resource requirements and project plan with milestones and timeline.

· Facilitate deployment of Operational Excellence (OpEx) programs.

· Serve as a local champion for impact tracking and validation (OTT tool)

· Actively participate in network meeting for learning / success sharing among peer group.

· Introduce new approaches, tools, concepts, ability to the site in concert with the larger CI network.

· Lead projects that support improvements and effectiveness of the Kalrez Chambers Works Lab.

SalesForce.Com Administrator

· Receive all complaints entered into SFDC from CSR’s globally for Chambers Works and Tralee Park.

· Review for complete information.

· Assign to appropriate Lead Investigator based on origin of product and issue.

Document Control Coordinator

· Administer the document control system.

· Maintain the list of all control documents.

· Coordinate issue of documents and assign for review or revision.

· Track revisions to ensure that they are completed on time.

Training Coordinator

· Lead the iLearn Training Program for DuPont Chambers Works – setup of internal iLearn training modules and reporting of metrics

· Lead the Chambers Works Quality Laboratory Training Program

· Set-up and Maintain Laboratory Training “Skill Demo’s, Task Analysis” and “Task Competency”

· Maintain Laboratory Technicians Training Notebooks

· Train Laboratory Technicians on New Methods, Procedures and Work Instructions as necessary.

Sample Manager Administrator

· Acquire the skill set to become Sample Manager software Manager:

− Set-ups for process samples and Lab Quality

− Set-up and Maintain Statistical Control in Sample Manager for Quality Lab Standards − Manage incomplete Samples or Methods in Sample Manager for Quality Assurance

− Maintain and Update Shift Control Standards

· Prepare required laboratory reports (ie Quality and Turnaround time).

Quality Control Technician

· Coordinate Precision Studies

− Setup and coordinate distribution of test samples

− File Data for future reference

− Process Data for Statistical Analysis

· Laboratory Technical Support

− Work with Kalrez® Chambers Works Technical Support to develop Analytical Methods, Non-Standard Testing, and other Instrument Related Items as needed.

Required Computer Skills

· Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams)

· Laboratory Instrument Software • SalesForce.com for tracking external customer complaints.

· Manager of Sample Manager with the enhanced Hunter Package

· Measurement Systems Analysis

· Retrieve raw data from computers for retention as needed

Qualifications

· 4 or more years of manufacturing and/or laboratory experience required.

· Bachelor’s degree in science required.

− Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Engineering or other science-related degree preferred.

· Line of business experience preferred.
