Job Title: Director of TransportationJob Description

Manage and design current IDOT Phase I and II engineering projects, as well as County and Municipal Transportation projects. Interpret specifications and drawings, recommend and document design modifications, and coordinate with the design team. Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Checks on all projects to uphold the company's principle of superior service to all clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and design current IDOT Phase I and II engineering projects.

• Oversee County and Municipal Transportation projects.

• Interpret specifications and drawings.

• Recommend and document design modifications.

• Coordinate with the design team.

• Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Checks on all projects.

Essential Skills

• Professional Engineer (PE) License.

• Experience managing IDOT Phase I and Phase II projects.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

• Strong communication skills.

• Experience in roadway design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience working on IDOT roadway and bridge design projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred).

• Experience managing civil engineering staff.

• Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) experience.

Work Environment

The Director of Transportation can work out of any office location including Schaumburg, Rockford, Decatur, or Paris. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $172640.00/yr.
