Why this job matters

As a Project Manager in Business Managed Services, you will drive the successful implementation of projects and change initiatives that shape our customer’s experience.

We seek a hands-on Project Manager with experience in managing change impacts, including developing and delivering engagement and communication plans.

You will plan, execute, coordinate, and deliver workstreams from complex strategic programs and individual projects through all phases. Additionally, you will partner with Digital and other BT Group stakeholders across various business units to ensure successful outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Being responsible for delivering assigned projects within the CPE Security Programme or other risk projects/ programmes some of which will be complex in nature.

  • Project planning, understanding the deliverables, setting up the detailed project plan based on the wider programme plans, delivering against pre-agreed plans on time in the pre-agreed quality with escalation management, risk management.

  • Your first projects will include a process review activity, where working together with higher level of management will be required.

  • Project administration: reporting, presentation of progress and results on a regular basis.

  • Managing virtual multi-location teams and vendors as part of the assigned projects. Significant part of the team will be technical people, so basic understanding of their work and responsibilities will be required.

  • Working mainly with internal BT Teams in this position.

  • Occasional DOA responsibilities to cover the Programme Manager.

  • Communicating effectively and efficiently while adapting to your audience and getting the message through as intended.

  • Taking the responsibility and taking care of the consequences of making a decision is an advantage.

  • Strengths and abilities that help to oversee processes and guide people toward the achievement of goals.

  • Ability to find root causes of problems and to focus on their quick and efficient solution.

You would be expected to have the following :

  • Proven project management skills with at least 3 of years experience. Project management certification is an advantage (Price2, PMI, agile etc.)

  • You need to be technically oriented to enjoy working with us. No certificates needed only willingness to understand the technical areas of your work.

  • Adaptability: you will have different responsibilities, various kinds of projects to manage overtime.

  • Experience with process review and development is an advantage.
