The Zonal Software team is a growing team dedicated to creating Ford Inhouse ECUs that integrate with existing architectures as well as our next-generation vehicle systems.

What you'll do...

  • Managing the performance, productivity, motivation, and collaboration of a team of software developers performing design, development, and testing of Autosar platform software components.

  • Ensuring that the software developed is performant and meets the business objectives.

  • Providing leadership in the areas of software architecture and design, technology decisions, processes for increased productivity, effective prioritization, and maintenance of team velocity.

  • Collaborate with other software leads to develop and maintain a technical vision and roadmaps for the team and evolve them over time. Plan and prioritize implementation across multiple software component teams.

  • Ensuring that the team is adequately staffed to meet company performance objectives.

  • Day-to-day prioritization of tasks.

This position requires a person with a significant depth of knowledge in both AUTOSAR Architecture and the development of Electronic Control Units (ECUs). We are pushing the boundaries of a new Zonal Architecture and need someone who understands the technical aspects of Service Oriented Architecture (particularly SOME/IP) and a high-performance BSW platform development.

You'll have...

  • B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or Software Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education.

  • 10+ years of Embedded Software Experience

  • 3+ years leadership expereince

  • 5+ years of programming experience in C and AUTOSAR experience

  • 3+ years C/C++ and be able to debug vendor AUTOSAR stack.

  • 2+ years Experience in networking particularly in Service Oriented Architecture, SOME/IP, socket adaptor, and Ethernet stack

  • 2+ years Experience with low level interfaces such as I2C, SPI, ICU, PWM, GPU and CAN

  • 5+ year experience in developing automotive ECUs

  • 1+ years’ experience working in an agile environment.

  • 1+ years Hands-on experience in the leading development/Integration team in the agile framework.

Even better, you may have...

  • M.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or Software Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree

  • Experience in software development for automotive control units

  • Experience in AUTOSAR Methodology and workflows

  • Hands-on experience in AUTOSAR software development/integration projects

  • Familiar with RTE configuration activities

  • Good hands-on with the AUTOSAR Authoring Tool -Vector Davinci tool chain

  • Embedded software development experience in the Linux platform

  • Software Simulation experience using Hardware Models

  • Good, embedded debugging skills

  • Self-reliant, approachable with good communication skills

  • Good knowledge of tools used for embedded program development

  • Knowledge of safety-systems, ISO26262, ASIL A-D is a plus
