In this position...

This role is a Jira expert, responsible for optimizing how teams use Jira for issue tracking and resolution. You'll define and maintain best practices, coach teams on proper workflows, and identify new ways to leverage Jira across the organization. You'll also lead process improvement initiatives, ensuring efficient operations and high standards. You'll be the go-to person for all things Jira for SW integration, acting as a liaison between development, TPM, Jira Adim teams, while providing support to vehicle teams This role requires strong communication and analytical skills, as well as a passion for process improvement and efficiency.

What you'll do...

  • Administer and evolve policy for Jira object tracking and issue resolution in Jira

  • Define / Maintain / Coach R&R for working level triage teams

  • Coach teams on Issue management workflow in current and future states

  • Coach program triage teams on P0-P4 criteria and operational methods

  • Assist vehicle teams in monitoring and maintaining Jira object hygiene.

  • Lead reflection for real time UIM/GIM 3.0 process improvements to identify ways of working more efficiently and ensuring operational standards are the best they can be.

  • Liaison to external TPM’s , development and functional teams, feature organization, and Jira tools teams.

  • Identify additional areas of use cases for Jira to aid in migration to common backlog (eg : aims replacement, MPI process, Masked codes, MSR, 8D, Milestone tracking, Launch Metrics… etc).

  • Develop and maintain standardized FSIM/PMT presentation and escalation methods and materials.

  • As required working level issue resolution / crisis support across FSIM org.

  • Be a part of the team to establish and maintain working level dashboards and milestone review criteria on a cross vehicle basis.

  • Support vehicle teams by being a first point of contact for all things Jira.

You'll have...

  • B.S. in Computer or Software Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education.

  • 3 + years automotive PMT, Program Management, Design & Release, Software Development, and/or EE Systems Integration

  • 1 + year experience using Jira, JQL, project administration, automations, dashboard management, and/or Jira Analytics

Even better, you may have...

  • 5+ years automotive with at least one Vehicle Program Launch.

  • 5+ years of automotive PMT, Program Management, Design & Release, Software Development, and/or EE Systems Integration

  • 3 years in JQL, script runner, and rich filtering

  • 3 years using SQL with the ability to develop reporting metrics in Jira Analytics

  • 3 Ability to write and execute Jira automations.

  • Ability to generate and upkeep Dashboards, Kanban Boards and confluence pages derived from Jira data sets

  • Understanding of Ford End of Line testing and vehicle Diagnostics

  • Ability to de-bug vehicle level issues end to end using CANalyzer or other diagnostic tools.

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8 .
