In this position...

Ford is implementing a SAP I-ERP program, which will improve productivity, reduce the size and complexity of Ford's technical footprint, emphasize differentiating capabilities, and to transform and standardize its business processes. The SAP Business Objects Data Servers Developer will be a part of the IERP Data Conversion team in the Enterprise Architecture – SAP platform group and this team is responsible to transform legacy data into S4 using SAP BO Data Services (BODS).

This is a hybrid opportunity in Dearborn, Michigan and the team normally is onsite 3 days/ week.

What you'll do...

  • Design and develop BODS program to load data in SAP using RFC, IDOCs and BAPI

  • Build RICEFW’s (Reports, Conversions)

  • Performance Tuning, problem solving skills and Debugging/Defect Management

  • SAP Data migration, implementation and conversion

  • SAP Data services certification will add value to this position.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years of SAP BODS (Business Objects Data Services) development experience with duties including but not limited to loading data, scripting and data migration.

  • 1+ years of SAP implementation and data conversion experience, preferably in Finance, Purchasing and Manufacturing modules.

Even better, you may have...

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field

  • SAP Data services certification is a plus.

  • 8+ years of SAP BODS development experience.

  • Strong experience in SAP BODS architecture, design and development with advanced BODS functionalities

  • Strong Data Migration background with hands-on experience using SAP BODS in S/4 HANA/ECC Implementations with at least an end-to-end implementation.

  • Build SAP BODS jobs for Data Conversion projects as per the functional specifications.

  • Work experience on various transformations like Query, Validation transformation, Map operation, Table Comparison

  • Implementing managerial and operational reporting for cleansing and load readiness

  • Experience loading data using IDOC, BAPI and Files

  • Develop/Update the Technical Specification Documents

  • Good Analytical skills to analyze the ETL issues and fix them

  • Experience in BODS Scripting, SQL queries

  • Well versed with handling performance tuning activities and provide design solutions for the business requirements.

  • Supporting all data load and cutover tasks for Mock, dress rehearsals and production cutover

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8 .
