Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a meticulous and dedicated Public Staff Tax Accountant in Dearborn, Michigan. The role involves a blend of tax compliance, bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation within the accounting industry. The chosen candidate will collaborate with staff and managers to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of client services, maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and foster strong client relationships through exceptional service and proactive advice.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct bookkeeping and financial statement preparation for various clients

• Handle tax preparation for individual and business tax returns, sales tax reporting, and payroll processing

• Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies

• Collaborate with staff and managers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of client services

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional service and proactive advice

• Support the training and development of junior staff members

• Apply skills in Income Tax Accounting, Tax Accounting, Financial Statement Preparation, Account Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, Corporate Tax Return, Federal Tax Return, and Individual Tax Return throughout all responsibilities. Requirements • Proficiency in Income Tax Accounting is required

• Experience in Tax Accounting is a must

• Ability to prepare Financial Statements is necessary

• Knowledge of Account Reconciliation is required

• Competence in Bank Reconciliations is needed

• Experience in Corporate Tax Return is desirable

• Proficiency in Federal Tax Return is expected

• Familiarity with Income Tax Return is required

• Experience with Individual Tax Return is preferred
