Ford Motor Company Product Switch Application Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan

In this position...

  • Experience with Ford product develop process (GPDS).

  • Launch and systems experience with Ford programs.

  • Experience leading / working with electrical D&R application teams.

  • Experience and capabilities with Ford product development processes in FEDE BOM,WERS, VSEM, JIRA, FEDE, CDP&R, Integrator, DEMS/AIMS and other Ford product development tools.

What you'll do…

  • Interface to program team to deliver all switch commodities for assigned NA led programs.

  • Deliver switch products to support all program milestones.

  • Lead program efforts for sourcing, release, prototype builds, production builds and OPD/TVM for all switch commodities.

  • Lead team to resolve assembly, testing, design and interface concerns using Ford processes in FEDE BOM, WERS, VSEM, JIRA, FEDE, CDP&R, Integrator, DEMS/AIMS, etc..

  • Interface with design studio, HMI / Ergo, VO, feature owners, architecture, interior & exterior cross functional teams to deliver switch commodities to programs on time, on targets with quality.

  • Support program VHMs, VPATs, change control and other program reviews.

  • Support component, subsystem and system testing to close requirements.

  • With global core switch team, manage suppliers from sourcing through end-of-life product cycles.

You'll have...

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

  • 5+ years D&R / applications experience

  • Self-starter, ability to work independently but also work as a team to deliver on time with quality

  • Strong people and program management skills

  • Master’s preferred

  • 3+ System Engineering / launch experience preferred
