Actalent Powertrain Control HIL Test Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan

Job Title: Powertrain Control HIL Test Engineer

Job Description

Join our Core Vehicle Controls Software team where you will have the opportunity to validate Ford’s latest powertrain control strategies. Your role will involve working in a hardware-in-the-loop and in-vehicle environment, testing production software, analyzing test results, troubleshooting issues, and reporting through automated systems. You will also be responsible for storing and retaining documents and test records according to established guidelines.

Hard Skills

  • 1+ years’ experience in automotive embedded systems software

  • Understanding of testing methodologies and ability to utilize test equipment (multi meter, scope, logic analyzer, etc.)

  • Solid understanding of vehicle structure, subsystems, and components (GAS, HEV and BEV)

  • Understanding of Module Hardware/Software Architectures (PCM, HCM, TCM, BCM, Satellite processors – ABS, SJB…)

  • Experience with calibration methodologies and tools (ATI Vision)

  • Experience with CAN networks and OBD systems and demonstrated ability to utilize related tools (CANalyzer, PTDiag, etc.)

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Dearborn, Michigan and some days remote.
