Performance Driven Workforce Maintenace Technician in Dearborn, Michigan
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and inspection of equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs across various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The technician plays a key role in minimizing downtime and ensuring a well-maintained environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, mechanical issues, and electrical problems.
- Perform routine repairs and replace defective parts or systems.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and follow maintenance schedules to prevent unexpected equipment failures.
- Inspect machinery, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical components regularly.
- Lubricate, clean, and adjust machinery as needed.
Building Systems:
- Maintain and repair building infrastructure, including lighting, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Conduct minor carpentry, painting, and plumbing repairs as required.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure equipment and systems meet health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor building conditions to identify potential hazards and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities.
Inventory Management:
- Track and manage maintenance supplies and tools inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors for the purchase of spare parts and equipment.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other departments to address maintenance requests.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and installations.
