Job Title: Exterior Feasibility EngineerJob Description

We are looking for an Exterior Feasibility Engineer who will be responsible for the creation of 2D master sections. This role involves managing environment compatibility, taking into account the studio surface and surrogate B-side commodities, and ensuring the vehicle's compatibility during the Kloops in GPDS. The candidate will develop 2D master sections for surface to B-side commodities compatibility and provide support to ensure the program is delivered per process milestones.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D master sections and manage environment compatibility.

• Drive and execute required 2D sections to ensure vehicle compatibility during the Kloops in GPDS.

• Develop 2D master sections for surface to B-side commodities compatibility.

• Provide support to ensure program delivery per process milestones.

• Solve problems by understanding engineering design constraints and studio creative requirements.

• Lead feasibility investigations of engineering enablers to deliver studio themes.

• Develop CAD geometry using CATIA V5 and Teamcenter Engineering tools to support Global Product Development timing milestones.

• Share and maintain CAD data in the Teamcenter Engineering database.

• Collaborate with D&R to develop attachment strategies and modify studio surfaces as needed.

• Support the vision of the Appearance Excellence Team department.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in CAD and Feasibility Engineering.

• Experience with CATIA V5 and Teamcenter Engineering tools.

• Ability to create 2D drawings.

• Knowledge of plastic injection and metals.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Experience with CAD data sharing and maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in Body Exterior.

• Knowledge of Plastic Injection.

• 3D Modeling skills.

• Familiarity with GSD (Generative Shape Design).

Work Environment

The role is hybrid, requiring two days in the office per week. The main work location is Building 2, with additional work in the studio. The work environment is corporate and involves working on many new products in the EV market.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00
