PURPOSE This individual is responsible for creating designs and drawings prepared directly from information submitted on a company order form, client\'s customer selection sheet, repeated from previous jobs, or from information developed by a design manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with outside sales personnel and customers to accurately complete, safe and quality structures. Assures stability, deflection and load carries in a manner that will meet or surpass codes associated with each project. Follow quality control procedures for completeness, accuracy, and code compliance for the implementation of design standards. Confers with client, technical staff, and other Design Services personnel, and prepares design modifications as required. Develop and complete design details from original concept drawings and prepare layouts. Draws rough sketches or arranges for finished drawings or photographs to illustrate specified materials or assembly sequence. Writes technical descriptions specifying material qualities and properties. Review design(s) for most efficient and profitable use of inventory, equipment, and labor as time permits. Demonstrate a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement. Other Duties as assigned.
