JOB OVERVIEW A professional driver who has acquired a commercial driver\'s license (Class A, CDL) to operate trucks or commercial vehicles to transport materials and heavy equipment. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Drive and operate a variety of trucks and trailers with a gross weight over 26,001 lbs Follow instructions; review and read location and road maps Pre-inspect truck daily by following a checklist Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed throughout Wisconsin Load and unload cargo Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes always Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy Home daily with local routes. Work 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent, preferred CDL - Class A, required Understanding of traffic laws and DOT regulations Able to pass random drug tests No serious or preventable traffic violations or accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the past three (3) years No convictions for DUI, DWI, OWI, or reckless driving involving drugs or alcohol in the past seven (7) years PREFERRED SKILLS 2-3 years of Class A experience, preferred but not required Recent Grads welcome 21 years or older At least six (6) months of OTR experience Listening and verbal communication skills Professional attitude and dependable Forlift experience Position Requirements EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
