Overview Own Your Future. Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Systems Engineer - Satellite Communications and Navigation Systems, in Dayton, OH. The Systems Engineer will provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to AFRL for development, test, and integration of satellite communications and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) technology development projects. The individual and their AFRL team will coordinate technology development efforts among industry and multiple mission partners. How you will contribute to our National Security and Defense mission: As a Systems Engineer--Satellite Communications and Navigation Systems with MTSI, you will be responsible for providing engineering and acquisition support to the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL). You will sit in the AFRL customer facility and be an integral part of a combined government/contractor team developing and demonstrating cutting-edge communications capabilities for the Department of the Air Force. Responsibilities Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: * Provide Systems Engineering support and expertise to U.S. Air Force customers advancing cutting-edge satellite communications systems, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), and Positioning Navigation and Timing (PNT) technology development. * Lead/Support the development, test, and integration of satellite communication and GNSS technologies. * Work closely with program managers, lead project engineers, and program teams. * Advise on research demonstrations and testing opportunities, identify and mitigate program risks, advise on new techno
