System Engineer Senior Job Locations US-OH-Dayton ID 2024-5534 Category Engineering Type Full Time Hours/Week 40 Location : Name Wright Patterson AFB Position Summary Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer supporting the Helicopter Program Office (HPO) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The HPO supports selected helicopter programs including the HH-60W Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) and the MH-139. The HPO has a mission to rapidly deliver and field new and updated rotary wing aircraft. Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Provide a wide range of rotary wing acquisition program management, analytical, technical and support services for avionics programs Apply rotary wing knowledge and experience in pre-acquisition definition and capabilities integration of requirements, acquisition program management principles, and policies/procedures to assist with the procurement of avionic systems/subsystems hardware and software throughout the total life cycle, in compliance with current Air Force regulations and guidelines. Apply integration, communication, coordination, organizational and planning expertise to activities and acquisition efforts across a broad spectrum of functional disciplines to assist with the implementation of program direction. Utilize knowledge of agile development and rapid prototyping to support program activities. Assist in planning, organizing, and managing critical aspects of the development, production, and deployment of rotary wing capabilities to include managing program cost, schedule, performance, and risk. Support the full spectrum of actions required to award contracts and contract modifications to other Contractors that may include pre-award documentation, assistance in support of source selection activities, and post-award support requirements. Support a wide range of program management activities to include assistance in gathering data, conducting research and analyses, evaluation, and validation of acquisition programmatic documentation. Support pre-acquisition and acquisition strategy planning and implementation Support the review and analysis of prime and subcontractor earned value management systems. Assist in development and analyzing key program metrics. Support the development and integration of risk management plans and strategies and supporting program briefings. Support development of documentation related to Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E), Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) and Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) reporting requirements. Participate, coordinate, and lead system engineering working groups and IPT meetings. Participate in SVR, FCA, PCA, DT&E, IOT&E programmatic reviews to capture entry and exit criteria, requirement verifications and track action items. Assist in the System Incident Reporting (SIR) process, coordinating the appropriate functional resources and tracking incidents to closure. Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Minimum Required Qualifications Clearance: Secret Education/Years of Experience: Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD AND an ABET accredited Bachelor's Degree in engineering OR, an ABET accredited Bachelor's Degree in engineering and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD Additional Information Location: WPAFB Dayton, OH Travel: 10% #LI-BL1 Company Overview Odyssey Systems Cons
