Overview Join the HJF Team! HJF is seeking a Project Manager III to oversee a collection of related/integrated projects that together support a long-term research initiative. This position strategically guides one or more project managers and related technical staff to ensure they are all working effectively toward the program's stated objectives. As well as, contributing to the development of concepts, strategies, practices and procedures that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. Typically overseas moderately complex scope of work. Including, assisting in the development of research plans, program schedules and execution strategies by coordinating the efforts of multiple stakeholders with available resources to meet R&D requirement in a fully integrated/seamless manner. This position will be in support of multidisciplinary fields including human performance environmental & chemical exposure, biological modeling and data analytics across the medial R&D program with the AFRL 711th Human Performance Wing's Product Development Branches (711 HPW/RHBA). The research supports the Air Force Medical Readiness Agency (AFMRA) research interests by creating high-performance, integrated systems for individualized, operations-enhancing health readiness. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals. Responsibilities Serve as main point of contact and liaison between internal and external stakeholders (i.e. Principal Investigators, Program Sponsors, organizational leadership, external stakeholders, and project management teams). Establish and maintain effective working relationships on matters of mutual interest. Track and report on progress and outcomes. Maintains cognizance of applicable external research efforts (government, academia, and private sector) and current industry "state of the art" to aid in effective research coordination and program management. Manage key program elements, including but not limited to goals and milestones, risks, available resources, budgets, standard operating procedures, quality control, and results. Identify project interdependencies, aligning resources and efforts where appropriate. Maintain weekly/monthly status reports on all Human Performance portfolio research efforts. Includes recording and dissemination of meeting minutes, as required. Work directly with branch and division level leadership to aid in development, coordination, and communication of R&D execution strategy. Supervise, advise, and guide Project Managers and technical staff throughout the program lifecycle, focusing on the strategic direction of the projects. Take corrective action and streamline organizational processes as needed. Support and participate in planning, creation and submission of proposals and agreements as requested. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Communications, or a relevant field; Master's Degree preferred. Minimum of 6-8 years experience required.
