• [The Medical Interpreter is responsible for providing interpretation and translation services for patients and family members and staff at Shriners Hospitals for Children (SHC). ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times;="" color:="" rgba(0,="" 0,="" 1)"=""}
• [Services include listening to, understanding, and interpreting from one language to another, in support of the medical treatment plan. ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times;="" color:="" rgba(0,="" 0,="" 1)"=""}
• [In addition the medical interpreter will provide language and cultural support to patients and families and identify any cultural or language barriers to care. ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times;="" color:="" rgba(0,="" 0,="" 1)"=""}
• [This service will require face-to-face interpreting between patients and providers and may also include family members or patient representatives. ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times;="" color:="" rgba(0,="" 0,="" 1)"=""}
• [The medical interpreter will also be required to provide cultural information to the care team in order to facilitate the creation and adherence to a treatment plan and meet regulatory requirements.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times;="" color:="" rgba(0,="" 0,="" 1)"=""}
