For more information about MTSI, please visit www.mtsi-va.com Responsibilities Manufacturing Quality Assurance SME sets quality assurance testing for aircraft systems and subsystems. Assists in developing quality control policies and evaluates production limitations. Being a Manufacturing Quality Assurance SME requires a bachelor's degree and 10-12 years of experience. Will advise and assist industry partners of best practices as it pertains to their QA approach and practices. This position will require the employee to be on site. Travel can be expected up to 20%. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES* * Knowledge of quality assurance concepts, principals, tools and practices applicable to the development and manufacturing of major aircraft weapons systems, aircraft structures systems, and related subsystems. * Through knowledge of Air Force systems acquisition mission, objectives, and procedures. * Expert knowledge of the role of quality and its relationship with other functions including engineering contract administration, logistics, configuration management, and program management. * Experience in application of manufacturing methods, process and material, and skills to apply this knowledge in assessing industry preparation for production/ability to preform on major systems contracts * Management principals as they relate to effective organization structures and management information systems and the ability to apply this knowledge of QA prevention programs and the assessment of an industry partner's QA program. * Familiarity with the design and systems engineering methodology as it relates to product reliability and other product quality considerations. * Ability to plan and conduct technical studies, analyze performance data, and develop sound recommendations for correction of products and quality systems deficiencies. laborate within and outside your immediate team. * Maintain a professional behavior.
