Groundwater and Hydrogeology Global Practice Leader ID 2024-1891 Job Locations US Workplace Type Remote Overview We are seeking a Practice Leader and licensed professional to join our team as a Groundwater and Hydrogeology Global Practice Leader. This individual will work closely with Woolpert's Water market leader to develop, grow and deliver these services. In addition, the Practice leader will work closely with the Federal, Buildings, Infrastructure, and Geospatial leaders to ensure the firm can support and deliver these services globally. Responsibilities Support the growth and delivery of groundwater and hydrogeology services. Oversee the analysis of groundwater and hydrogeo projects to plan/design well fields, aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) facilities, injection well projects/programs, horizontal collector wells and water supply systems, seepage and infiltration controls, stormwater capture and groundwater recharge approaches, etc. In collaboration with the Market Director, support the growth of these services across the water market, federal market, and opportunistically across all Wolpert's market sectors. Support to recruit, train, coach, mentor, and supervise team professionals. Develop team goals and structures aligned with the market, sector and corporate goals and vision. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members. Shape market strategies, gaining hands-on experience in brand development and positioning. Tailor teams to meet clients' unique needs to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Manage deliverable quality and implement standard operating procedures. Meet yearly market goals aligned with vision, strategy, structure, and staffing. Project management, including developing project plans, budgeting, scheduling, implementing QA/QC measures, creating proposals, and maintaining client relations. Support and develop innovation strategies to create marketplace differentiation and client value. Support managing team wide KPIs, including net revenue, utilization, and budget dollar variance. Qualifications Must have a Bachelor of Science or Engineering. Master of Science or Engineering is preferred Must be a licensed Professional Geologist (PG) or (PE) Engineer with 15+ years of experience in groundwater and hydrogeology services Must have experience leading teams, mentoring staff, and serving as the technical lead. Must be proficient overseeing teams utilizing groundwater modeling software such as MODFLOW, Groundwater Modeling System (GMS), MIKE SHE, FEFLOW and other groundwater related software Must demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills. Must be proficient at directing, delegating, mentoring and coaching staff. Must have above average verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for both internal and external relationships. Must be able to manage multiple, competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to analyze and evaluate multiple project components, schedules and budgets. Must be able to establish and maintain rapport with clients, vendors, management and associates. Must possess negotiation, conflict management and problem-solving skills. Must possess above-average facilitation and/or meeting skills. Must have Microsoft Office suite skills.
