Role Overview

We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Technician to support the Supply Operations organization of Kodak’s Enterprise Inkjet Systems Division. The principal charter of this group is to provide engineering support to on-going manufacturing and product improvement in the Kodak Dayton Ohio facility. The Electrical Engineering Technician will focus on life cycle management and continuous improvement projects for the Kodak Versamark, Prosper and Ultrastream products. Work will include testing components related to obsolescence issues, supporting outside vendors, testing circuit board prototypes, coordinating drawing and schematic revisions, making relay board test fixtures and operating printers and related equipment as required. Close interaction with other engineering disciplines is required due to the complex printing system consisting of fluid mechanics, electronics, software and materials.

Scope of work requires the following:

• PCB build and debug

• Cable assembly design and build

• Assist in integration of boards into the subsystem and system

• Troubleshooting problems after the initial integration

• Parts ordering and engineering inventory

• Product documentation and ECO process

• Organize lab space

Minimum Requirements:

• AS in Electrical Engineering Technology, equivalent military training

• Through hole and surface mount component assembly

• Familiarity with leaded and RoHS soldering techniques

• Read and understand circuits based on schematics

• Familiar with set-up and operation of oscilloscopes, multi-meters and other test equipment

• Familiar with industrial devices such as valves, motors, pumps, blowers and power supplies

• Attention to detail

• Basic computer skills

• MS Applications Word, Excel

• 5 – 10 years industry experience

Desired Requirements:

• Schematic board capture

• Schematic capture software, ORCAD is desired

• Ability to run an Ink Jet Printer

• Familiarity with line voltage subjects
