Discipline Leader, CE&I ID 2024-1870 Job Locations US Workplace Type Remote Overview This position is primarily responsible for managing CE&I discipline resources to meet discipline goals. This position is key in maintaining and improving employee satisfaction and effectiveness, and quality and timeliness of deliverables within the CE&I discipline. This position is responsible for overall discipline efficiency and allocation of resources within a discipline. The ideal candidate will be a Licensed Professional Engineer. This individual will work closely with Woolpert Infrastructure Sector Director of Operations to ensure the firm has the optimal number of employees with the necessary skills to staff projects. The CE&I Discipline Leader is responsible for recruiting, training, coaching, mentoring, and supervising CE&I Team Leaders. Additionally, they will develop team goals and structures that are aligned with corporate objectives, identify cost-saving opportunities, manage project finances effectively, and shape discipline strategies. Responsibilities Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and supervise CE&I Team Leaders. Develop team goals and structures aligned with corporate objectives. Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage project finances effectively. Shape discipline strategies and gain hands-on experience in brand development and positioning. Meet yearly market goals aligned with vision, strategy, structure, and staffing. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members. Provide guidance and support throughout project lifecycles. Manage CE&I Team Leaders across the United States. Oversee a diverse group of over 60 technical experts, including EITs, PEs, Construction Managers, Construction Inspectors, and technicians. Tailor teams to meet clients' unique needs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Manage deliverable quality and implement standard operating procedures. Handle project management tasks, including developing project plans, budgeting, scheduling, implementing QA/QC measures, creating proposals, and maintaining client relations. Deploy and implement technology and develop deliverables. Maintain and manage equipment and fleet budgets. Collaborate with industry-leading geospatial hardware and software manufacturers to stay on the cutting edge of geospatial technology. Safely and effectively coordinate projects in complex field sites. Manage discipline-wide KPIs, including net revenue, utilization, and budget dollar variance. Qualifications Licensed professional engineer. Proven experience in CE&I and project management. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in relevant CE&I technologies and software. BA/BS and eight (8) years related experience, MA/MS and six (6) years related experience, or 12 years related experience. Mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties. Proactive management approach. Above-average verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated leadership ability (directing, delegating, and coaching). Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to analyze and evaluate multiple project components, schedules, and budgets. Ability to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external clients, vendors, and Woolpert management. Strong negotiation, conflict management, and problem-solving skills.
