Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:PsychiatrySchedule:Full timeHours:32Job Details:Dayton Children’s Hospital is currently recruiting a child and adolescent psychiatrist for our behavioral health unit and consult service. Candidates must be board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
This is a fulltime (0.8 FTE) employed position with competitive salary and a comprehensive benefit package. This position will cover the behavioral health unit and weekends Saturday and Sunday. Provider will have five weekends off a year.
This is a new opportunity for staffing the new free-standing behavioral health building currently under construction opening in 2025. This new building will allow the hospital to double the number of behavioral health inpatient beds currently available at Dayton Children’s, allow expansion for specialized program development and allow for strengthened and smoother continuity of care by bringing behavioral health inpatient, outpatient and crisis services all under one roof.

Key Responsibilities:
●Provide initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management in consult and inpatient setting.
●Supervise psychiatric residents and child psychiatry fellows from Wright State University
●Provide weekend coverage to inpatient psychiatric unit: every 6-8 weeks.
●Provide night call for psychiatric service 3-5 nights per month
