Woolpert's Aerial Sensor Operators are responsible for sensor operation and reporting for airborne mapping missions. Qualifications: High School Diploma and/or G.E.D. or two (2) years of related experience, degree in GIS, geography, or related discipline preferred. U.S. citizen or have a valid working Visa. Ability and willingness to travel, moderate to high. Domestically and possibly internationally. Preferred knowledge of ESRI software, ArcGIS, Leica FlightPro, TerraSolid and or TerraSolid. Preferred experience operating Leica Terrain Mapper, ADS 100, DMC, and/or VisionMap A3 sensors. Responsibilities: Participate in ground and flight operations efforts as needed, including mission planning, execution, briefing, debriefing, communications, and safety. Ensure proper collection of data for accuracy and quality. Understand the collection of tactical and wide area mapping. Comply with all governing regulations and work in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Download, edit, and troubleshoot collected sensor data while in the field. Set up and operate ground GPS base stations and flight planning. Skills: Ability to provide excellent customer service. Possess above average Microsoft Office suite skills. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals. Quickly adapt and respond to industry changes as well as internal initiatives. Must have above average verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships.
