Robert Half Dayton is partnering with a well-known or organization in Dayton for their Accounting Supervisor/Manager opening. The Accounting Supervisor/Manager will be responsible for producing accurate monthly and annual financial reports, reviewing and approving journal entries, analyzing financial statements, managing accruals, overseeing the general ledger and reconciliations, and providing leadership and support to a team of three direct reports.

Responsibilities:

· Produce accurate and timely monthly and annual financial reports.

· Review and approve journal entries and ensure compliance with accounting principles.

· Analyze financial statements and provide insights to management.

· Manage accruals and ensure expenses are recorded in the appropriate period.

· Oversee the general ledger and reconciliations process.

· Lead, mentor, and support a team of three direct reports.

· Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and financial transparency.

· Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.

· Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures.

Requirements

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

· CPA certification or in-progress is a plus.

· Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

· Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
