Aerotek Welder And Fabricator in Davenport, Iowa

Job Description

Our client is looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team specializing in the remanufacturing of industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for welding and fabricating components for rotary & diverter valves, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and durability. The candidate will be involved in welding/fabricating, inspection/quality control, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Weld and fabricate components for rotary and diverter valves.

  • Ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality and durability.

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum.

  • Interpret CAD/technical drawings and engineering specifications specific to industrial equipment components.

  • Cut, shape, and prepare materials using equipment like grinders, plasma cutters, and saws.

  • Conduct inspection and quality control of welded and fabricated components.

  • Perform maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment.

Essential Skills

  • At least 4 years of experience as a welder/fabricator in a manufacturing or remanufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding with a focus on precision work.

  • Experience using carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum.

  • Ability to interpret CAD/technical drawings and engineering specifications.

  • Experience with machining tools and techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with machining tools and techniques is highly desirable.

Work Environment

Small shop environment working with 2-3 people each day and helping each other out no matter the job duty. The attire includes boots, jeans, and a T-shirt. The shift is from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Benefits include health and dental insurance, a 401K plan with employer match, paid time off, and holiday pay.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00
