Department/Unit Summary

If you have worked in the ED, ICU, or any critical care area and want to go to the next level then you should consider the Cath Lab. We work with the adult population performing coronary angiograms, PCI, peripheral procedures, pacemakers, and ICDs. Our Cath Lab has a low turnover rate and is staffed by experienced nurses that are ready to teach, train, and help you become a cardiac procedures nurse specialist. Our employees are more like family than coworkers and they support one another in the hospital and out. Minimum Qualifications:

· Registered Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact State required

· One (1) year Critical Care experience required. Diagnostic and interventional experience preferred.

· Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Must be able towork in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

· Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville on all units.

· Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required.

· Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association required or within 90 days of hire.
