Job Title: PLC Technician
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a PLC Technician, specializing in programming conveyor systems for retail accounts. In this role, you will provide support over the phone to clients and co-workers in the field, designing, implementing, and supporting PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
Provide phone support to clients and co-workers in the field.
Design, implement, and support PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment.
Perform PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Participate in the installation process, handling both mechanical and electrical functions.
Work collaboratively with a Controls Engineer during installs.
Essential Skills
Experience with HMI, Integration, and Automation.
Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Strong electrical design and troubleshooting skills.
Solid programming skills, especially in PLC programming.
Ability to design and implement control systems for conveyor systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2 or 4-year Technical/Engineering Degree related to Controls/PLC exposure.
Hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical installations.
Willingness to travel extensively for six months out of the year.

Work Environment
This position requires significant travel for six months out of the year, with a schedule of 12 days on the road followed by 2 days at home. When not traveling, you will work in the shop in Danville, assembling and troubleshooting systems before installation.
