Description

Position Summary:

In the Recruiter role, you are expected to evaluate and screen potential candidates to fill vacant positions as identified in the Company. Essential Job Functions are below:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Sends recruitment emails/correspondences;

  • Develops database for current and further hires;

  • Crowdsources potential candidates;

  • Conducts pre-screens;

  • Scheduling of interviews for hiring managers;

  • Ensures the timely disposition of candidates;

  • Champions, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior;

  • Builds strong relationships with hiring managers and serve as a strategic advisor on recruiting matters;

  • Sources candidates utilizing cutting edge technology, social media, targeted outreach, and networking;

  • Takes initiative to provide innovative solutions to challenges and ensure timeliness and efficiency throughout search;

  • Leads post interview discussions and manages candidate communications and expectations;

  • Guides hiring managers to identify a balanced interview team, design an efficient and professional interview process, and prepare interviewers;

  • Works collaboratively with the HR team;

  • Embraces and embodies the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation; and

  • Performs any other duties as assigned.

    The below functions may be added to this role at a later time

  • Negotiate job offers, coordinate reference and background checks, and ensure candidate records are accurate and complete;

  • Participates in the development and optimization of recruiting processes and best practices;

  • Advises hiring managers on networking and recruiting strategies and provide recommendations for attracting diverse applicants;

  • Conducts New Hire Orientation;

  • Conducts trainings with hiring managers on ATS, as required;

Qualifications

Certifications/Licensure:

  • AIRS Certification(s) preferred;

  • PHR Certification preferred.

    Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Healthcare, or other related field preferred;

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

    Experience and Competencies:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a technical sourcer, recruitment agent, or related role is preferred;

  • Outstanding communication skills;

  • Excellent negotiation skills;

  • Ability to work within established time frames with limited supervision;

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in full life cycle recruiting;

  • Prior experience with Non-Profit in Behavioral Health preferred;

  • Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills. Keen attention to detail. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical human resource journals, financial and benefit reports, and legal documents. Prefer dual language in Spanish, additional languages helpful.

  • Proven effectiveness leading talent searches while demonstrating professionalism, discretion, fairness, and confidentiality;

  • Demonstrated effectiveness working efficiently, productively, and with urgency in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment;

  • Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and keep others apprised of progress;

  • Demonstrated success exercising sound judgment, applying effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and acting and thinking independently;

  • Knowledgeable about project management processes and methods;

  • Proven success using online recruiting tools and strategies to identify talent;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and online sourcing techniques;

  • Proficiency in word processing programs, preferably MS Word, and spreadsheet programs, preferably MS Excel. Internet skills;

  • Ability to work independently;

  • High level of initiative;

  • Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality;

  • Professional appearance and demeanor;

  • Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served;

  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance from California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR);

  • Valid drivers license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCares vehicle insurance is required;

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain OIG and NSOPW Clearance and CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test;

  • Ability to lead and be part of the team.

  • A minimum of 40 hours per week are expected but significantly more hours will often be required. Completion of job duties may require working before and after normal working hours. Being able to work as many hours as is necessary to complete job tasks is a required and essential duty of this position.
