Eurofins Environment Testing Australia is an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories. With a staff of over 300 our laboratories are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and with Client Service Offices located in Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle and Wollongong. We also operate field sampling services out of Melbourne and Sydney. We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis, including Contaminated Soil, Sludge, Sediments, Leachate, Soil Vapour, Trade Waste Effluents, Sewage Effluents, Stack Emissions, Work Place Air, Ambient Air, Dust, Drinking Water, Surface Water run off, River & Stream Monitoring, Seawater, and Groundwater. 

  • Full time, permanent position based in Dandenong South, VIC,.

  • Competitive remuneration dependent on candidate skills and experience.

  • An extra 1.5% superannuation paid on top of National standard super rate.

Due to strong internal growth, the position of Victorian AIR Group Officer within our Melbourne Stack Sampling Division is expanding, and we are seeking candidates for this exciting opportunity.

The ‘AIR Group Officer’ is responsible for assisting and learning all aspects of stack emission testing to provide our NATA accredited sampling services to a wide variety of industrial clients. In addition, the role may also encompass report preparation, assistance with maintenance and calibration of sampling equipment as well as demonstrate a willingness to embrace new skills sets. Our Officers get hands-on experience collecting data while spending most of their time outdoors.

Key accountabilities include but not limited to:

  • Dust Deposition, Stack Emission, Soil Gas and Workplace sampling.

  • Data entry for the reporting of samples.

  • Calibration of equipment.

  • Asbestos sampling according to National Occupational Health and Safety Commission.

  • Undertaking necessary client requirements in order to enter their sites and conduct the required sampling - e.g., conducting online and site inductions and undertaking specific trainings.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will obtain the following:

  • Previous experience and/or knowledge of stack sampling / testing.

  • Good communication & time management skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.

  • An understanding and appreciation for Health & Safety protocols.

  • Confident and comfortable in the outdoors.

  • Established skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to work in industrial settings, including climbing to and working on elevated platforms.

  • Strong initiative with the ability to work in a team environment.

  • Flexibility with regional/interstate work.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

  • Current Drivers Licence.
