Job Summary

Join our Danbury, CT team as a Sr. Lead Manufacturing Technician (Technician 5). This role provides high level technical support to our Engineering staff on a variety of complex components, devices, material, products, processes, and equipment. Our ideal candidate will serve as a team lead and a trainer for junior level team members.

What You Will Do

  • Work from complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches and running sheets of significant complexity

  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly, disassembly, and rework some test and repair of various electronic products and mechanical assemblies Serve as the lead trainer of new team members

  • Interpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and safety rules

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations and any applicable certification required to maintain the certification

  • Diagnose cause of electrical, optical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance

  • Modify a variety of complex electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong decision-making and leadership skills

  • Experienced handling small delicate components, using ESD practices

  • Soldering and wire bonding experience a plus

  • Experienced in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and Labview.

  • Candidates must be US citizens (no dual citizenship) and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
