The Role:
Our site inDanbury, CTis seeking aResearchScientistto join our team.In this role, you will contribute toongoing research projects and support the development of new products within theSpecialty Gas group.
WhatYou'llDo:
Conductresearch and development activitiesfocusing onthesynthesisofspecialty gasesorliquids with high vapor pressures.
Critically review dataand prepare technical reports to communicate findingsfor methoddevelopment/validation,continuous improvement, and other projects.
What We Seek:
Master's degree inChemistry,Materials Science,or related fieldwith 6+ years' experience;Ph.D.with 2+ years' experience.
Synthetic background with experience handling and synthesizing air sensitivechemicals ortoxicgases.
Proficient with a breadth of relevant methodologiessuch asabsorbance spectroscopy,infrared spectroscopy,residual gas analyzers,mass spectroscopy, and thermaland gravimetricanalysis techniques.
OutstandingCandidatesWillHave:
Technicalexpertisein the Specialty Gas industry.
Ability to collaborate with and mentor peers as well as effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Experiencecreating and executing projectswhilemaintainingtimelines and budgets.
Demonstratedoral and written communication skillsthroughpublications, patents, and oral presentations.
