Nuvance Health In-Patient Rehabilitation Supervisor - FT - Day in Danbury, Connecticut

Summary:

Provides day to day management and supervision of professional and support staff for assigned areas. Provides clinical services approximately 50% of the time. Provides leadership support to the team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Delivers patient care at established career level.

  2. Assumes responsibility for overall performance of staff, including quality improvement, financial performance, productivity and competency.

  3. Ensures effective customer relations between patient and staff.

  4. Assists with goal setting and ensures that staff goals are in line with department & hospital goals.

  5. Acts as a resource to staff.

  6. Recruits and maintains adequate staffing levels.

  7. Implements and reviews policies & procedures. Ensures staff competency.

  8. Participates in developing the budget under the direction of the manager.

  9. Under direction of manager, participates in disciplinary action.

  10. Assists manager with development and implementation of PI plan.

  11. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: BACHELOR'S LVL DGRE

Other Information:

Required: Working knowledge of PT, OT, SP, PTA, COTA, techs, and recreational therapy.

Minimum Experience: three years

Desired: Leadership experience in more than one discipline. Ability to work with and lead an interdisciplinary team. Acute care therapy experience. If speech therapist, must have a Master's degree.

Working Conditions:

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Some occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
