Ability Beyond Direct Care - Individualized Day Program in Danbury, Connecticut

We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated Day Program Instructors to support our expanding Day Program team. The Day Program Instructor assists adults with disabilities by planning and executing of daily activities that promote independence, community integration and peer socialization while enhancing personal life skill development. The Day Program Instructor works as part of a collaborative team to help individuals served achieve their goals based on their individual preferences and abilities.
Location: Danbury
Hours: M 9A-3:30P, T 9A-4P, W 9A-4P, R 9A-3P, F 9A-3:30P (33 Hours Full-Time) or M 10A-4P, Tu 9A-3:30P, W - Th 9A-4P, F 9A-5:15P (34.75 Hours Full-Time)
Pay Rate: $ 18.50 / hour
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma (or equivalent) & a Valid Driver's License

What You’ll Do:
Planning and executing games, actives and learning opportunities including karaoke day, crafts, movies, lessons, etc.
Help participate in community activities such as sports, going to the movies, shopping, walking in the park, volunteering in the community, etc. We love any creative ideas you have to make each day enjoyable!
Providing them with the skills necessary for increased independence within integrated community settings.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
