WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Perform knock-out tasks, including final touches on plant installations, equipment setup, and workspace improvements to ensure operational readiness.
  • Complete carpentry projects such as building and repairing structures, cabinets, and shelving; installing partitions, drywall, and trim work as needed.
  • Execute painting and surface preparation tasks, including patching, priming, and finishing of plant walls, floors, and equipment to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the plant, including plumbing, minor electrical fixes, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and functional environment.
  • Assist with maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the plant, including groundskeeping, minor plumbing tasks, and other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, storage, and use of tools and materials required for all maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Adhere to all plant safety protocols and regulations, ensuring that work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience as a handyman, carpenter, or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong carpentry skills with the ability to handle a wide range of repairs and construction tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance work.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to completing tasks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Perform manual labor
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climbing, and working in various conditions in a manufacturing plant setting.
