Our client, the world's largest prime label company, is seeking a Flexographic Press Assistant to join their team. TheFlexographic Press Assistant is responsible for gathering all necessary material and setting up the press correctly to run the next job, while assisting the Operator in press running duties. This involves collecting parts and cleaning the press. A person in this role with exceptional performance will have the opportunity over time to be promoted to a Press Operator role. An ideal candidate is someone with mechanical experience, is quality minded, has good attendance, and possesses a desire to grow.

Job Title: Flexographic Press Assistant

Location: York, PA

Pay Range: $21.50

Shift: 3rd shift (11pm-7am)

What’s the Job?

• Collect plates, ink cassettes, and all other components and materials needed for the press.

• Verify all parts and materials gathered match the job specification sheet to complete the next run.

• Clean ink off rollers and press, rid screens of debris, certify press is clear of obstacles.

• Communicate with Press Operator to confirm press status and any job specific needs.

• Efficient in installing and setting up plates, aniloxes, and other press equipment.

• Pour and refill inks into the correct ink pans to maintain optimal running conditions and ink levels.

• Assist Press Operator with troubleshooting and press operating needs.

What’s Needed?

• High school education or equivalent.

• Attention to detail

• Responsibility for work produced and problem-solving skills to fix errors.

• Mechanically inclined and possesses quick learning skills.

• Capable of working in a team environment and alone with a high sense of urgency.

• Ability to stand and move around work area for long periods of time.

• Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
