About The Role:
As a CBRE VAS Director - Portfolio Services, you will lead the portfolio appraisal process by efficiently bidding portfolio assignments and overseeing workflow for our production professionals. Key areas of focus include coordination for assigned portfolios, assisting the Senior Director in the management of portfolio engagements, the understanding of portfolio appraisal requirements and properly bidding/staffing, and assisting in the deployment and adoption of key platform initiatives related to portfolio workflow management.
What You'll Do:
Assist in evaluating portfolio requirements, assigning subject matter authorities, guiding portfolio format, auditing portfolio process and results to ensure quality outcomes, working with client to establish and track property information/report delivery and ensuring Portfolio Administrative team is assigned appropriately to support process.
Ensure performance targets are met for other professionals involved in bidding. Focus on improving performance to ensure the achievement of budget and goals.
Collaborate with the professionals in their assigned market and the leadership team. Exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Active participation in leadership meetings, responsible for sharing the VAS strategy, supporting execution and delivery of critical initiatives. Actively chip in to team meetings to share ideas and information.
Responsible for client engagement and creating new client relationships, expanding existing relationships, and focusing on client outcomes. Perform industry and company research applying online tools and publicly available information, assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties. Promote the broader CBRE business be aware of cross selling opportunities within the business.
Participate in development and deployment of key VAS technology initiatives with focus on enhancing productivity and a consistently high-quality product. Drive adoption of the workflow components within the innovative operating platform, including technology and data as they are developed or supported within the company Digital & Technology strategy.
Handle risk identified through CBRE’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program and the VAS Quality & Risk Management (QRM) protocols.
Ensure adherence to the VAS Practice Area Guidelines (PAG). Understands and communicates the CBRE and VAS corporate strategy.

Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) from College or University required; Master's degree preferred (MA, MS or MBA).
A minimum of 5 years commercial real estate appraisal experience ideal.
Applicable Real Estate Appraisal Licenses and/or professional designations preferred.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret business documents. Ability to respond effectively to critical issues. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on topics to employees, clients, top management, and/or public groups.
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to analyze business/financial data and develop innovative solutions.
Ability to solve problems with a variety of options in unique situations. Requires high level analytical and quantitative skills with experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Strong ability to build, maintain, and seek out new relationships with clients and internal CBRE collaborators. Ability to influence within key relationships to help growth the business and meet needs of clients.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the VAS Director - Portfolio Services position is $150,000.00 annually and the maximum salary for the VAS Director - Portfolio Services position is $170,000.00 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
