Robert Half Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas

Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Real Estate & Property industry based in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including the preparation of financial statements, bank reconciliations, maintaining general ledgers, and assisting with other general accounting responsibilities as needed. You will also assist with due diligence activities and prepare reports and analysis as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements accurately and in a timely manner

• Conduct bank reconciliations on a regular basis

• Maintain general ledgers, ensuring they are updated and accurate

• Assist with other general accounting responsibilities as and when required

• Participate in due diligence activities when necessary

• Prepare and maintain other reports and analysis for internal and client needs

• Handle special assignments as designated by supervisors

• Utilize various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for financial management and reporting

• Execute full cycle accounting tasks, with a strong understanding of accrual accounting

• Manage both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations, including processing entries and month-end close. Requirements • Must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

• Must have experience in performing Bank Reconciliations.

• Must be skilled in managing General Ledger.

• Proficiency in creating Journal Entries is required.

• Must have experience in Month End Close procedures.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is highly desirable.

• Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices is required.

• Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work is required.

• Must demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.

• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.

• Prior experience in the Real Estate & Property industry is highly desirable.

• Must have the ability to adapt to new tools and software as required by the job.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills are required.

• Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct.

• The ability to interpret and analyze financial data is essential.
