We are recruiting for the role of a Sr. Paralegal, situated in Dallas, Texas. This role is pivotal in the legal industry, where you will be tasked with detailed legal research, preparation and organization of case materials, attending depositions and trials, and assisting with trial preparations. In addition to these, you will also handle the discovery process, prepare electronic document productions, maintain accurate timekeeping records, and perform other department-related activities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct extensive legal research and analysis using programs like Westlaw

• Prepare and organize case materials for attorney review and case preparation

• Attend depositions, trials, and arbitrations, providing necessary support

• Handle the discovery process, including preparing for depositions, propounding and responding to written discovery, and preparing for expert discovery

• Assist with trial preparations, including creating trial notebooks, identifying and organizing exhibits, coordinating witness schedules, and communicating effectively with opposing counsel and courtroom staff

• Prepare electronic document productions ensuring technical QC and adherence to production requirements and deadlines

• Obtain, examine, and prepare client data for processing, downloading and copying data, and verifying data

• Monitor case milestones and communicate effectively with attorneys

• Review and summarize documents, deposition and court transcripts, and perform other analytical tasks

• Handle other department activities as needed and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Utilize case management software, such as iManage, for efficient case handling and organization.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a litigation paralegal.

• Strong knowledge of the court rules, legal procedures, protocols, and court systems

• Must have strong skills in Calendar Management for coordinating and scheduling meetings and appointments.

• Working knowledge of case management software, such as iManage

• Experience in Commercial Litigation is essential.

• Must be eager to learn new software such as Relativity or other eDiscovery platforms

• Prior experience in Defense Litigation is necessary.

• Knowledge and expertise in handling Litigation Matters are required.

• Should be well-versed in the duties and responsibilities of a Litigation Paralegal.

• Experience in Construction Litigation will be advantageous.
