Management Resources is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for a contract to hire opportunity in Dallas. In this role, you will perform a range of accounting functions, including analysis, reconciliation, and reporting, and will be expected to assist with process improvements and special projects as needed.

Responsibilities:

Perform Cost Accounting Duties and Analysis

Review and analyze general ledger and trial balance

Prepare and post journal entries

Perform GL and balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations including research of reconciling items

Reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve any variances

Track all capital expenditures, update fixed assets, and depreciation schedule

Prepare analytics over monthly financial results and report on variances versus prior periods to efficiently report results to upper management and internal business partners

Participate in improving processes through automation, analysis, and researching best practices

Assist with the monthly and annual close process, ensuring close deadlines are met

Ability to analyze financial data and working knowledge of financial statements

Maintain daily cash deposits and recording to the G/L

Trained to be backup to Accounting Manager for transactional accounting such as A/P

Reconcile online Salesforce shop to bank and investigate variances

Requirements

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other finance-related discipline.

Strong Cost Accounting experience and standard GL Accounting experience.

Prior experience with Epicor is a plus – or must have any other large ERP.

Applicants must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a cost accounting role within the machinery manufacturing industry.

Familiarity with budget processes is essential.

Proficiency in cost analysis is required.

Prior experience in bank account reconciliation is required.

Experience in balance sheet account reconciliation is required.
