Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Dallas, Texas

Description We are in the transport industry, located in Dallas, Texas, seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and submission of financial statements, grant applications, and reports. You will also handle the development and adjustment of budgets, ensuring the timely submission of reimbursement from funders.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit financial statements and grant applications in a timely manner

• Develop and adjust budgets according to company needs

• Ensure the timely submission of reimbursement from funders

• Maintain accounting records and systems in QuickBooks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank deposits

• Provide support for annual independent audits and tax filings

• Assist with daily cash flow management

• Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of government grants and participate in audits conducted by grantors

• Compile monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports

• Handle special projects and other duties as assigned

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP as needed. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Strong working knowledge of General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Solid experience with Microsoft Excel

• Ability to handle Month End Close procedures

• Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant in the Transport industry

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Solid organizational and multitasking abilities

• CPA or other relevant certification is a plus.
