The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for shipping, receiving, returns, carrier relations, order management, product management and customer service. Assumes prompt, accurate, and systematic handling of finished goods and raw materials orders while providing outstanding customer service.

Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position working 3:00pm to 11:30pm, Monday-Friday. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required.

Position Responsibilities

• Employee safety and security is the highest priority, ensuring the team is working safely and acting as a role model.

• Seeks to build a strong team and engage all employees to contribute and participate.

• Direct and coach Receiving Techs and Shipping/Receiving Clerks in the execution of daily department work such as receiving in materials, off-loading trucks safely, cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and ensuring materials are stored properly.

• Responsible for ensuring all materials that are to be tempered for the following week’s production are pulled on time.

• Complete and update all necessary department paperwork, shipping paperwork (BOL’s Receiving Logs, CoA’s) and records.

• Ensure department equipment remains in new working order supporting autonomous maintenance. Report any necessary equipment failures requiring outside maintenance support.

• Review and analyze production records to ensure production back-flushing and syrup clearance are completed correctly and in a timely basis.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and contributing toward becoming a lean organization.

• Make recommendations for long term solutions, including recommendations for procedural changes, productivity improvements, processes, etc.

• Ensure an environment of continuous improvement through employee empowerment and following all department SOP’s.

• Execute all 5S requirements and ensure that housekeeping standards are being followed.

• Drive team engagement with skills and capability development.

• Other tasks as required by department Supervisor and or Dept Manager.
