Wells Fargo Senior Lead Product Designer, Wells Fargo Home Lending in DALLAS, Texas

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Product Designer to define and drive the future of the Home Lending experience for internal operators and customers. The role is responsible for shaping the design vision, creating a seamless, user-centric experience by ensuring internal teams have intuitive, efficient tools to support their workflows. In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs across Product Design

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across Product Design or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others

  • Provide vision, direction and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale cross-functional or enterprise-wide strategies

  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to Product Design leadership

  • Design leadership

  • Lead design execution and strategy for Wells Fargo's Home Lending products, setting the vision for the internal operator experience from a CX lens

  • Collaborate with business partners, product management, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on design goals, priorities, and delivery timelines.

  • Champion a user-centric approach, advocating for the needs of both customers and internal operators in every design decision.

  • User experience innovation

  • Create innovative and intuitive user experiences that address complex operator and customer needs.

  • Design seamless, cohesive interactions for complex, data and interaction heavy apps that optimize internal workflows and by extension improve the customer journey.

  • Leverage user research, data, and insights to inform and iterate on design solutions.

  • Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to define the product roadmap and align on deliverables

  • Partner with UX research, Market research, and data analysts to validate design decisions and ensure that solutions are grounded in data and user insights.

  • Drive consistency in design and ensure compliance with design standards and accessibility guidelines.

  • Design systems and process improvement

  • Contribute to and evolve the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across all products.

  • Continuously improve the design process, looking for opportunities to increase efficiency, collaboration, and innovation.

  • Frame and regularly communicate the value of design to senior leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Website or Application Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 7+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in interaction design, visual design, IA, and UX strategy.

  • Proven experience leading design initiatives from concept to execution, preferably within mortgage or financial services industries.

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, user research, and usability testing methodologies.

  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, effectively communicating the strategic value of design and aligning design decisions with business objectives.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders.

  • Experience leading design initiatives within a product management framework.

  • Expertise in design tools such as Figma (any others?)

  • Strong understanding of the mortgage process, home lending regulation, and operational workflows preferred.

  • Experience working with complex enterprise systems and internal operator tools preferred.

  • Experience designing for home lending or financial products preferred.

Job Expectations:

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgages regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.

New York, NY: $ 133,300 to $237,100 Annually

Other Posted Locations: $111,100 to $197,500 Annually
