Senior Environmental Project Manager – Water Resources
Remote – Texas – San Antonio, Houston

ICF is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager with a science background and experience with NEPA compliance and environmental permitting to join our rapidly growing Texas-based practice. The successful candidate would leverage their regulatory expertise and management experience to lead diverse projects for clients, with a focus on the water resources sector. The candidate will have the opportunity to serve clients while partnering with ICF’s highly-talented scientists, planners, archaeologists, and geospatial experts. We are looking for Texas-based candidates with experience in local and regional priorities and with federal, state and local regulations to support our teams in San Antonio, Houston, Austin, and Dallas.

What you will be doing:
Manage the scope, schedule, budget, and project team for projects involving a wide range of technical field studies, analyses, and regulatory and permitting tasks
Manage project teams including scientists such as biologists, cultural resource specialists, and GIS specialists, and administrative professionals
Prepare proposals and support marketing efforts for water or infrastructure clients.
Provide senior-level expertise and technical guidance on complex projects involving the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and other federal and state laws
Lead and participate in agency consultations to determine and advise on effective permitting strategies
Provide leadership to scientists and help to mentor, train, and guide junior and mid-level staff
Prepare technical reports, NEPA documentation, USACE 404/10 permit applications, and mitigation plans
What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):
BS in Natural Resource Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related scientific field
12+ years of experience in environmental consulting or applicable fields (industry, government, academia)
What would be useful (preferred qualifications):
MS in Natural Resource Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related scientific field
Experience managing or conducting studies for water and/or infrastructure clients, overseeing technical studies, providing regulatory guidance, and developing regulatory solutions
Experience working with federal, state and local regulations and resource agencies and developing complex permitting and environmental regulatory strategies
Business-minded with an eye towards client engagement and market growth
Strong knowledge of environmental consulting practices and environmental laws
Experience working with clients and common project management tools
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train teams of technical specialists
Ability to develop and present clear solutions to complex problems to clients and regulators
Technical writing skills and ability to conduct QA/QC reviews of deliverables and provide feedback to technical staff

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$105,353.00 - $179,101.00
