Koerber Supply Chain Senior Controls Engineer in Dallas, Texas
Koerber Supply Chain, LLC seeks aSenior Controls Engineer in Dallas, Texas. Summary of Duties:Develop control system designs, develop, deploy, and commission Programable Logic Controller code, and develop graphical user interfaces for material handling systems. Test and emulate code functionality prior to on site deployment and testing. Troubleshoot PLC code and electrical equipment functionality on site during commissioning and testing activities. Collaborate with Electrical Engineering resources to support control network architecture requirements and design. Define electrical device requirements for system control. Support estimates for complex module development, and system commissioning requirements. Perform reviews of complex customer standards and specification and other documentation to determine system requirements. Develop recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction. Complete the software quality process through the execution of complex module, subsystem and system test proceduures.
Qualifications:The position requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or a related field and Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, or an acceptable alternate occupation. The employee will accept an alternate of Masters in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or a related field and Five (5) years experience. The position requires experience with the following: Rockwell automation PLC programming including GuardLogix; Industrial machine control development and troubleshooting; Ethernet/IP network architecture; Interpreting electrical schematic drawings; understanding of HMI programming.
