Aeroseal Repair Technician, TNS in Dallas, Texas

Aeroseal is an innovative company in the commercial and residential HVAC technology field providing novel technology to seal duct systems non-intrusively from the inside. Sealed duct systems provide building occupants with higher air quality while generating significant savings to consumers by delivering conditioned air exclusively where it is supposed to go, and by doing so more efficiently. Aeroseal's patent-protected technology provides our expanding dealer network a true market differentiating solution offering so they can seal leaky ductwork that no one else is able to use conventional manual methods of duct sealing. We are looking to hire a Technical Support Repair Technician with a background in, or keen interest for electro-mechanical system operations as well as basic understanding of diesel-powered machine and auto service repair and preventative maintenance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As the TNS Repair Technician, you will perform a variety of tasks in support of the TNS Solutions – the Aeroseal direct work division. You will be work working with the Technical Support Department at Aeroseal corporate in assisting TNS crews with preventative maintenance and repairs of field equipment and capital assets. You will also provide day-to-day support to TNS project managers with job equipment repairs and maintenance, training to become an expert subject matter resource for our various product lines. Additionally, you will be managing the entire TNS division fleet of vans and trucks – ongoing repairs and preventative maintenance.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Troubleshooting and performing basic repairs on company equipment that needs diagnosis and repair service.

  • Dis-assembling field equipment and cleaning it and restoring it to good working order.

  • Conducting in-house testing of instrument hardware and software.

  • Managing repair work appropriately regarding timelines, follow-up, etc. to prevent an escalation of issues, and ensuring we close out cases with a closed loop process.

  • Assisting in upgrade campaigns of current field equipment to the latest iteration of our technology.

  • Interacting with other staff or departments, when necessary, for information to assist investigation and resolution of issues.

  • Documenting—using Salesforce.com CRM and departmental Standard Operating Procedures—capturing all interaction with the TNS and Aeroseal corporate team members and supporting information gathered in the resolution of issues.

  • Developing and maintaining a high level of product and application knowledge on Aeroseal and AeroBarrier solution offerings

  • Elevating issues to manager or senior technical staff as necessary to deliver timely issue resolution.

REQUIRED SKILLS

As the TNS Repair Technician, you must be detail-oriented and organized, with strong analytic and problem-solving abilities. You must also have the time-management skills needed to consistently complete all projects within a specified timeline and in a cost-effective way. It is important that you display excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment and across multiple disciplines both internally and externally. You will be expected to work with the fleet management software – Mike Albert Fleet Solutions.

Additional requirements for this role include:

  • Automotive Service Excellence course or 2-year substitute equivalent in mechanical, electro-mechanical tech or diesel-powered industrial machine training.

  • Understanding of basic electronics and diesel-powered machines.

  • Understanding of basic auto service technician skills and maintenance capabilities.

  • Able to troubleshoot using mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.

  • Comfortable working with computer applications and software installation.

The ideal candidate:

  • Have prior experience with mechanical repairs and maintenance – on generators, compressors, and vehicles.

  • Should be familiar utilizing shop tools and measuring equipment.

  • Experience working within a Fleet Management system, and logging corrective actions in a CRM (Salesforce.com).
