Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Tele PCU (M2W)

Fast-paced, high volume Cardiac Tele Progressive Care Unit (PCU) department is looking for top skilled Registered Nurses. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time Nights (7P-7A) for 36 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday requirements

Cardiac Tele PCU Department highlights:

· Cardiac Tele PCU is a 24 bed post interventional unit mixed with medical telemetry providing comprehensive post interventional cardiac care to patients from admission to discharge.

· We specialize in the care of cardiovascular patients which includes Heart Failure, AMI and Arrhythmia patients, pre and post interventional patients (Cath, Ablations, & Pacemakers).

· Self-scheduling which helps with the work/life balance as well.

· AMI program has achieved the trifecta of awards for the 2nd year in a row from the American Heart Association and National Cardiovascular Data

Here’s What You Need

· Diploma Nurse required or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required.

· BSN preferred

· One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.

· PCU, Step-down Intermediate, Cardiac Tele highly preferred.

· RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care.

What You Will Do

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
