Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), Dairy Brands has an opening for a Quality Assurance Management Trainee position.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow Corporate Quality Assurance (QA)Training Program as defined by VP of Quality Assurance. Provide for assigned progress reports in training
Study and learn company QA policies, laboratory procedures, HTST/HHST, CIP (Clean-in-Place), COP (Cleaned-out-of-Place), Filler Systems of Processing
Obtain required certifications for Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Food Safety Plan (FSP), Food Defense/Food Defense Plan (FDP), Hazzard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP), Safe Quality Foods (SQF), Appendix N, Better Process Control School, NCIMS Aseptic Program, and others as required. Develop plans and procedures for certification
Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications. Tasting of various Dairy Products
Work with QA Manager in learning how to coordinate schedules and estimate worker hourly requirements for completion of job assignments
Lead by example with the Company's Code of Ethics. This includes following company policies, standards, and specifications
Work with plant management and other supervisory staff to maximize quality and productivity
Ensure proper procedures are in place and being followed for product quality, employee safety, state, and federal guidelines
Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating
Perform other duties as assigned by VP of QA or designate

Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a food science or related science based discipline
Relocate and travel when needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
