The Principal Product Technology will design, develop, and operate technology solutions in support of the Mass Markets Product Management organization. The candidate will work cross-functionally to design, build, and launch features and functional system support across sales distribution channels. Utilizing defined business cases and targeted implementation timelines; the individual manages and leads project scope, IT system development requirements, sales channel requirements, schedule, cost, and customer experience. The individual will be held responsible for the project from requirements through post-deployment activities and oversees the partnering business units for successful marketing launches. In addition, the Principal Product Technology manager will partner closely with various teams to influence the long-term integrated features roadmap the future.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with and organize cross-functional teams to define strategy, technical roadmap, and present business case for the rapid delivery of new applications and enhancements to the existing applications as well as establish requirements to deliver products, pricing, offers, promotions, and other items to market.

  • Serve as the voice of the customer and frontline as well as provide subject matter expertise on marketing technology (including CX solution design, billing systems, point of sales systems, provisioning tools and other technical applications) applications, platforms, training, execution, and communications.

  • Design details of automated systems. Lead technical projects using Agile methodology, assisting teams with planning and execution of ceremonies, use of the AT&T selected standard Agile tracking tools, Epic creation, and User Story development.

  • Using programming language and technology, define detailed requirements, create user stories, write code, complete programming, documentation, write and execute test cases and provide assistance during the debugging of applications.

  • Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

  • Partner with Architecture and Engineering to manage critical dependencies across software platforms.

  • Configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements.

  • Provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems and general business requirements to support a forthcoming launch.

  • Provide training and support to the marketing and sales organization.

  • Integrate technology solutions across enterprise applications.

  • Define and document requirements for channel readiness to include but not limited to training, communications and launch support documentation.

  • Integrate technology solutions across enterprise applications. Is considered a subject matter expert inside of the organization.

  • Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Technical background preferred (examples: An engineering degree or comparable experience, technical project management experience, Agile SAFe certifications, Design Thinking experience)

  • Familiarity with point-of-sale applications used to provision AT&T Broadband services (i.e. OPUS, LS-CRM, SARA+, and Salesforce (AT&T Customer Connect)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & MS Planner)

  • Knowledge of the AT&T application QuickBase

  • Excellent project management skills with knowledge of software development life cycle.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Strong attention to detail

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • Requires 8-10 years of experience in similar area of responsibility. This is not a supervisory role.

Our Principal Product Technology Managers earn between $158,200 - $237,400 of TSR. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
