Nursing Supervisor (RN) Medical Surgical – Full Time Nights

Fast-paced, high volume Medical Surgical department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?

  • Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

  • Work hours: Full Time Days 40hrs. rotating weekend and holidays

Medical Surgical unit – responsible for improving the quality care for the Medical patient. Patients are admitted to a 23 bed Medical Surgical/Observation unit. The Registered Nurse will care for patients that have undergone general surgery

Here’s What You Need:

  • Associate Degree Nursing

  • Bachelor Degree Nursing preferred

  • 2 Years’ experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) Required

  • RN Nurse Upon Hire Required

  • BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 days required

What You Will Do

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Nurse Supervisor will

  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

  • maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients and staff

  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

  • have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

The Nursing Supervisor will support, coach, manage staff and resources to meet unit and hospital goals. When needed, will assist in patient care. This position is a great platform to connect with leadership and cultivate skills. Provides crucial opportunities for experience to grow professionally in a hospital system with many avenues for advancement.
